Knowing their original purpose is useful both before and during play as a creative prompt, but it is essential in my view that the whole dungeon cannot be united in its purpose. At times I was tempted to split even a third table off from this one, but 600 prompts has proven to be the hard limit of my creativity. EXIT THE GUNGEON LOST IN TRANSLATION SERIESAt least two of the six tables in the series budded off from this one when I realized far too many entries revolved around the same shtick. ![]() At various times it has been called d100 Dungeon Origins, d100 Dungeon Gimmicks, and at one point simply d100 Dungeons. If a result doesn’t spark your own creativity, reroll. ![]() Better to pick one or two tables, or even roll a d6 to determine which of the tables you roll on, then employ your own creativity to build out from the result you get. A dungeon forced to include one more more results from all six of them would likely be an overstimulating, unplayable mess. The tables are not necessarily meant to be used in tandem.
